Updates & awareness through humour

In the Humour blogroll, a new entry, called (suggestively) "Safe is Fun". As stated by it, it's meant to, through humour, direct attention towards the violation of safety rules around the world, highlighting recklessness. It resorts to humourous images or references gathered from various online sources, and is thus meant to create work accident awareness through humour.

I'd say, if it produces results in even one person then it is already a positive thing.

And still, people wonder how work accidents happen... how, indeed?

This image may look like something anyone in their right mind wouldn't do (clearly not the case there), but this one is even more common than you'd think. Scary, right? Piling stuff to get to higher places, no safety whatsoever, is a frequent mistake that many people don't repeat after they see the results. So, don't do it in the first place, and avoid the work accident altogether :)

Workplace safety is a serious thing. However, that doesn't mean the subject can't be approached in a funny way, creating awareness about some of the unthinkable things that are happening even nowadays in workplaces all around the world! Guess the moral would be: when lack of rules or care takes over, accidents can (and often do) happen.
